Conventional Electrolysis
I developed an interest in electrolysis perhaps 30 years ago because of the poor performance of the people who called themselves electrologists. At that time, the electrologists who did the most business were incompetent and ineffective.
Lucy Peters® improved on a procedure related to Electrolysis that could also be compared to Laser, called Thermolysis
Then, Lucy improved upon a procedure related to electrolysis but properly called Thermolysis – killing by heat.
In that regard, lasers are also a form of Thermolysis. And comparisons between Thermolysis by lasers and Thermolysis by Lucy Peters® are not far-fetched. Although, when we do compare Lucy Peters® Thermolysis to laser Thermolysis, people like me are very unimpressed with the results of laser treatment.
I think that what lasers have accomplished so far is mainly marketing.
Thermolysis with The Integrated System® from Lucy Peters® destroys the “dermal papilla” for permanent hair removal with no tissue damage.
To get permanent destruction of the hair, you have to destroy the area, which is called the dermal papilla. Conventional electrologists use a rigid bare wire needle that has a sharp cutting tip. The high frequency current bleeds all along its length, causing damage to surrounding upper follicular tissue and follicular appendages such as the arrector muscle and sebaceous glands.
