Read Jasmine’s story. She visited several hair removal specialists and tells you why she switched from laser to Lucy Peters® to cure her razor bumps.
JASMINE is a beautiful African-American. Like many of color, she suffered from a condition called Pseudofolliculitus Barbae (Also called Folliculitis, PFB, razor bumps, razor burns, ingrown hair). It is a bacterial infection of the hair follicle – That’s why it is called follicultitis. The common name is “razor bumps.”
Folliculitis can be painful and is unpleasant to look at.
Folliculitis can affect any part of the body. But Follicultis (razor bumps)
affects primarily the face and throat.
A health care worker, Jasmine thought she knew the right questions to ask when interviewing hair removal “specialists”
"Since I worked in health care, I felt confident that I knew what questions to ask when I interviewed various physicians and hair removal professionals.
Of course I asked about laser's effects on darker pigmented skin. My physician assured me that the new Soft Light laser technology would not affect my skin in any way. After looking at many treatment options, getting referrals from friends, and professional resources, I decided on laser treatments.
